I have a new habit, drinking okra water daily

Greetings,

Creating new habits can be transformative, offering numerous benefits for your physical, mental, and emotional well-being. One of my new habits is drinking okra water daily. Even though the okra can taste slimy, it is a really nice drink. Okra, also known as lady's finger, is a nutritional powerhouse. Drinking okra water has a multitude of health benefits.

Rich in Nutrients - Okra is packed with essential vitamins and minerals, including vitamins A, C, and K, as well as magnesium, folate, and fiber. Drinking okra water can help you start your day with a nutrient boost.

Aids Digestion - The high fiber content in okra aids digestion by promoting regular bowel movements and preventing constipation. Drinking okra water can help maintain a healthy digestive system.

Regulates Blood Sugar Level - Okra contains compounds that can help regulate blood sugar levels, making okra water a good addition for individuals managing diabetes or those looking to maintain stable blood sugar levels.

Hydration - Starting your day with a glass of okra water helps keep you hydrated, which is crucial for overall health. Proper hydration aids in nutrient transport, temperature regulation, and joint lubrication.

Anti-inflammatory Properties - Okra has anti-inflammatory properties that can help reduce inflammation in the body, which is beneficial for conditions like arthritis and other inflammatory diseases.

Making Okra Water is very easy

[913ml Glass Jar, 5 - 6 Fresh okra pods; distilled water]

  1. Wash your fresh okra pods thoroughly.
  2. Cut off the ends and slice the pods into small pieces put in glass jar.
  3. Pour distilled water into the jar right up to the top
  4. Soak overnight.
  5. In the morning, strain the water and drink it on an empty stomach.
  6. Fill the jar up again with distilled water and soak overnight.
  7. I repeat this for 7 days and start the routine again.

Making a Nutritious Smoothie after the 7th day

From reusing the okras for 7 days, I make the most of the soaked okra by using it in a delicious and nutritious smoothie.
